Dear NLP Student,

      There are MANY challenges to getting great, world-class NLP training. Sometimes the obstacles include costs of travel, time for travel, time lost from work, arranging that much free time all at once, and more. We know, because we've been there.

      With the current economy, and travel security becoming ever more challenging, it's more expensive to travel than ever before, and harder than ever to move freely across borders. Which isn't great for you -- if you want nothing but the best for yourself.

      So it's very common (and understandable) for people to seek NLP training, online. But what you could get on the web, historically, wasn't training. It's information. Most of what's available comes in the form of articles, books, MP3s, DVDs, or short youtube video clips. Much of that can be useful in support of live training, but they'll never replace training. Information is NOT training.

      NLP is and has always been -- optimally learned by finding & developing a strong mentorship relationship with a skilled trainer who can see and hear you, and respond in an interactive way with you. This is because NLP is a blend of both behavioral art... and science.

      NLP by itself is NOT a science, though many elements of NLP are based on science. Scientific principles can be learned from a book or on the web. How to develop a naturally artistic and creative intuition cannot be learned from a book, however a great trainer will see things you are not yet seasoned enough to see, and unless these things are pointed out to you from a more educated eye... you will never reach your fullest potential. Thus... great training requires FEEDBACK LOOPS.

You NEED Feedback Loops:

      What does a great trainer offer that you'll NEVER get from books, cds, dvds, or text chatting online?

      Simply put... it's the feed-back & feed-forward loops created between student & trainer. With a living human trainer, IF they get to know you and familiarize themselves with your outcomes personally, they can help tune what you do... help you clear out what's not needed and refine what is... for your best results. The two of you create feedback & feed-forward loops, which enables additional growth.

      Without feedback loops from more experienced/gifted people, you will never see what you're not trained well enough to see. There are zero feedback loops in self-learning. And NONE, with just watching previously recorded videos. Now, over a long, long period of time... you can create them, but the vast majority of people are not equipped to do this within an area they're not trained in, and even in the 1 in 1000 who might be... the lost cost of not having these skills earlier (which a trainer can provide) is usually far more expensive than hiring a trainer, and thus is reason enough not to opt for the self-learning route.

So who is Jonathan Altfeld, anyway?

      Jonathan is a world-renowned trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and practical uses of NLP. He founded the Mastery InSight Institute and this website in 1997, and he's primarily known for offering shorter, targeted seminars on specific subjects, rather than longer certification trainings. His offerings typically appeal to the best-trained NLP students in the world. People who have trained with either of the co-founders of NLP will often find Jonathan's courses and home-study materials worth their time & investment, because (a) his highest value as a trainer comes from doing this well & naturally & in a powerfully layered way, and (b) these well-trained students have the sensory acuity and knowledge to tell the difference between top-notch training, and lower-quality training.

      His view is, the more "hype" and "image" and "showiness" required to get you to spend your training dollars, the lower quality the actual NLP training you'll get. Experience backs this up. The quality of ANY course... is USUALLY inversely proportional to the size of the group.

you can attend 30 minutes of actual training, free!

      Jonathan's already run quite a few sessions. And while Jonathan continues to adapt his training style over to an online medium, and test various platforms, you can now attend short combination "orientation" and "short training" sessions for free! (with the caveat that there may be some speed bumps along the way, so you have to agree to keep a positive attitude no matter what technical hurdles are encountered!).

      Several "Orientation" sessions are being offered now, several a week, requiring only 45 minutes! 30 of those minutes will be live actual NLP training on short useful subjects! 15 minutes will likely be spent on orienting you to the training platform, getting everyone used to the technology, and trying Skype or other methods for individual exercise drills, etc. Click on through to the next page on upcoming events to learn about our free upcoming orientation training topics!

      Following the test process, Jonathan will offer some of his LONGER courses through an online option.

      The platforms included in our test plan all max out at ONLY 15 seats (plus Jonathan), so seats can be reserved anytime for free, no commitments or cost on your part. Seats are held preferentially for people who have not yet attended an orientation training session, so if you'd like to sign up for more than one of our topics, we'll guarantee one, and put you on the waiting list for the other(s), in case they don't fill up with new online students.
