New CD: "Voice Transanimation!"

     transanimation \Trans*an`i*ma"tion\, n.    The conveyance of a soul from one body to another.

     In March 2000, we held a workshop in NYC entitled the "Finding Your Irresistible Voice™" workshop, which derived from & extended onto the CD'set of the same name. This 72-minute CD has been culled from Day-Two of that seminar, and follows trainer Jonathan Altfeld as he invites each student up to do some 1-on-1 vocal transformation work using a voice synthesizer. Whenever an effect transforms each students voice, the student is required to adjust various qualities of their speech in order to still hear & understand themselves. Sequentially, those transformations sometimes simply result in pleasant & desireable shifts in vocal quality, and in several cases, lead to profound shifts in students vocal resonance and depth.

     Not only is this material highly unusual and innovative, the content of each student's discourses as the transformations occur is sometimes irreverent, often bizarre, and frequently raucous.

     Please note that some adult language does appear in the recording.

Technical Info for Audiophiles: The audio material on this CD was picked up using several audio-technica microphones, and recorded digitally using a Sanyo minidisc recorder. Please note that due to the use of digital effects, the sound clarity changes throughout the recording, but is always of high quality. The quality of our microphones is so good, it picks up some of the ambient sound in the room, placing you quite literally in the room with the other participants.
