      To put it bluntly, given that these were recorded in 2000, you'll be impressed with the video footage. It's not HD, but then nobody had HD at the time! The room was well lit, and we used all-digital video recording & editing. The new DVDs are mastered from digital originals. So your copy will look like a 1st generation copy from master footage taken in 2000.

Some words about "IMPERFECT AUDIO QUALITY..."

      If you're HIGHLY SENSITIVE to audio quality -- needing it perfectly mastered -- this set is probably not for you. Just being honest here!

      This seminar was very hard to record properly on audio given the size of the room, and given the variety of different seating arrangements and activities. We did a reasonable job with wireless mics, but there were definitely times when we were challenged with audio issues during editing the original master videotapes.

      The audio quality however is far better on these DVDs than it was with the original VHS copies we made. And the speakers during the entire seminar are audible at all times. However:

  • You may need to play this DVD set at a higher volume than when you watch other TV shows/dvd's.
  • Some of the students' quick answers to our questions are not always easy to hear.
  • You WILL need to keep the remote handy, with which to adjust the volume up/down periodically.
  • At various places in the recording, there was enough undesireable noise in the background, that in order to make Speakers' words audible, we had to do a lot of noise reduction, which changes the tone/quality of some voices at times.
