| AccessNLP | Ok, thanks for having me. Well, I want to start with the idea of amazement, and why being amazed is something that's useful to do! Too often people go, "Uh huh!" and they 'get it,' but where's the wonder? |

| AccessNLP | I enjoy keeping my eyes, ears, open, and going, "Oooooohhh, Ahhhhh, Wow!" So, why would someone want to be amazed anyway? |

| Jonathan | Do we like rhetorical questions? :) |
| Sunev | Yes! |
| AccessNLP | For me being amazed is a trigger for wanting to learn more! |
| Jonathan | Cooooool! So, being amazed leads to wanting to learn more. |
| AccessNLP | Sometimes people think it's a lot more difficult, and it's really a lot easier than they think. When they think it's gonna be hard, it is... and sometimes that's good! At least, that's what my wife says! |

| AccessNLP | ...or been overly concerned that something wasn't gonna turn out the way you wanted, and then been pleasantly surprised that it was much more delightful than you would have planned? |

| AccessNLP | I'm often amazed by the way people mistreat themselves and beat themselves into submission before they realize that it's OK to simply let go, and jump into the pool of experience! And sometimes when I catch myself being hard on myself, I have an alarm that goes off -- it's a very rich voice, "Dave you are being a hard-on... yourself!" and Boom! I begin to laugh, and things change! |

| AccessNLP | Ha, ha! When i first moved to Austin, I was missing my Baby! Holley was still living in a town about 4 hours away from here, and we decided it would be good to get a puppy to keep me company til she moved in. I was looking in the papers and pet stores for a pooch, and then Boom! I found two dogs just like I wanted! On the street! It's fun to manifest things like that! You find what you look for. |

| AccessNLP | To me, the universe is simply a system of consciousness, and it is affected by the very pictures and feelings we produce. Sound familiar? |

| AccessNLP | I really like the metaphor about race car drivers, and how if they ever lose control of their car, the first thing they teach them is to look where they want to end up -- even if it would normally be physically impossible to end up there. and how often they miraculously maneuver the racecar back on track! Yumm! |

| AccessNLP | The word amazing... A maze zing! It has a maze built in it, or a puzzle that is definitely solvable, it simply takes paying attention (to the external world) in order to solve it, and once you solve it.. Ahhhh! Maze! Zing! |

| AccessNLP | Yeah, I went to a seminar once... where the trainer told us to go out and make at least one person a day feel reaaaalllly gooood for the duration of the training (and beyond). And I'm sure he had lots of reasons for having us do this, but the one that I noticed most was that it's easiest to create good feelings in others, when you are feeling good yourself! |

| AccessNLP | A great example of using amazement is for when someone is being a jerk. Instead of reacting, you can get amazed at how some one can use that tonality or be such a jerk. It diffuses the anger and helps you to keep getting amazed! |

| AccessNLP | Amazement is easy, the world opens up! It's shimmery, and focused all over your bodies. |
| Sunev | I like shimmery; it makes me feel all shivery! |

| AccessNLP | Another thing that amazes me, is that it's important to pay attention to what amazes you, because if it's a big deal, it is! |

| AccessNLP | I know to be amazed when I feel like I've 'got it', and really there's more to learn. As soon as I get it, I start to wonder! |

| AccessNLP | It's like with every learning, I become aware that there are hundereds of new mazes to Zing! through. |
| Jonathan | OK let me ask a little more about that. Dave -- do you recall... when we were in Austin, we talked about this topic. And you talked about wanting to share that state -- that set of resources associated with being amazed. Do you recall? |

| Jonathan | Well... I thought, cool topic! Now, the idea of being amazed... is as Saffron mentioned earlier... a state of BEing. While not static, its represented as such. I'm getting more into the HOW, now (brown cow?), because, during the chats I like to do a little "pacing" of the audience that is going to read these chats... and I know they like to have a way INTO the state you're offering! And I talked of what it means to be-come amazed... |

| NLPSGI | Be amazed, be very amazed! Muuuwaaaahaaahaaa! |
| AccessNLP | Then I get a HUGE feeling in my chest, that's kinda cool, and it's uplifting. It moves up my neck, and this shimmery feeling moves up and down the back of my neck and head, and the world goes very clear, and shiny! Very rich deep vibrant colors! But more than anything, I hear, "WWWWoW!" It's an awe kind of Wow! It comes up from my shoulders! Who here has a great way to become amazed? You've all done it! |

| IntriKate | Then swelling into my chest, like excitement; a light fluttery feeling. |

| AccessNLP | Yummmm! Where else did the feeling go? |
| IntriKate | Down into my hands. Then there's the internal dialogue, "Wowwwwwwwwww!" |
| AccessNLP | OK, and the "Wowwwwwwwwww," how many times do you hear that? |

| AccessNLP | As you swirl that feeling in your hands back into the back of your neck, what do you see? |
| IntriKate | That particular time I saw my timeline; It was so cool! |
| AccessNLP | Cooool! How big was it? |
| IntriKate | That's what was cool, it was BIG! |
| AccessNLP | colorful? |
| IntriKate | Stretched out and up, sparkly |
| AccessNLP | I love it! Where is the feeling now? |

| AccessNLP | It depends on where the information is coming from. If someone is speaking, and you are learning from what they are saying, pay attention to what they are saying with all your senses. Make sense? |
| Sunev | Yes... but what if when you're alone, like trying to focus on something, and your mind just keeps jumping around? Learning used to be very easy for me, but then I've had this problem and needed to start taking medicine, and now I understand a little more about how hard it is for some folks to focus. And when to broaden your scope. For some people, I think it can be very tricky. That's it for now :-) sorry! |
